“Invisible” Silencer

Framed Digital Prints

I am breaking through the “invisible” silencer that has suppressed Black Women for centuries. We are told to look and act a certain way – to stay in our place or else. You may not see it, but we feel it all the same. We are determined to be free.

Artist Statement

I’ve had a passion for photography since I was 5. My parents supported me by buying cameras and upgrading them as I grew. This support allowed me to start a business by 8th grade. I then studied photography officially in college graduating in 2020.
