Square piece of appliqued cotton fabrics in yellow and blue, decorated with many different embroidery stitches in yellow and orange.

Sacred Geometry

Cotton, linen, variety of threads

This is the first in a series of sacred geometry pieces. The vesica piscis, the intersection of two circles, is the starting point of sacred geometry. It is combined with traditional mandala tropes – a circle within a square within a circle, etc..

Artist Statement

I am a textile and embroidery artist. One of my favorite techniques is “encrusted embroidery,” as seen in this piece.
