The piece above is part of a larger body of work called “The Playground Project” where my figure explores different playground equipment, trying to master balance. The theme that I have been working with is the theme of Balance and Imbalance.
Artist Statement
My work deals with the contrast between balance and imbalance, control and the lack thereof. Specifically, the movement of the human body through space and time. My interest in the nature of the human form comes from living with cerebral palsy
